You can compile and link using compiler options. The library is referenced using -l<its_name_here> and the path to the library using -L/path/to/lib.
-I is for the path to include directories.
However, if the library isn't in a directory in the linkers path when you run the executable you'll get an error. One way to solve this is to use rpath option.

Note: I'm guessing what you need and what each item is. -I should be used with the path to header -l prepended to the library name and -L preceding the path to the library.

Hi,
I need to look for a config file (ldap.conf) and pick the latest modified file.
`locate` tells me there are many ldap.conf's, some in /etc, /usr, /home, etc.
Is there some way I can sort them by last modified time via bash?

jocamlmklib - generate libraries with mixed C / Caml code.
SYNOPSIS
ocalmklib [options] files
DESCRIPTION
The jocamlmklib command facilitates the construction of libraries containing both Caml code and C code, and usable both in static linking
and dynamic linking modes.
OPTIONS -h, --help
Show summary of options.
-cclib lib
C library passed to jocamlc -a or jocamlopt(1)-a only.
-ccopt opt
C option passed to jocamlc(1)-a or jocamlopt(1)-a only.
-custom
Disable dynamic loading.
-dllpath dir
Add dir to the run-time search path for DLLs.
-I dir Add dir to the path searched for Caml object files.
-failsafe
Fall back to static linking if DLL construction failed.
-ldopt opt
C option passed to the shared linker only.
-linkall
Build Caml archive with link-all behavior.
-llib Specify a dependent C library.
