The first thing I observed is that you're doing
Code:
for var in `cat filename`
do
  ...
done

instead of
Code:
while read line
do
  ...
done < filename

Next I see that in the inner loop you are copying /Users/template.fsf in each run of the loop. I think you don't intend this?
