Bind: Can you configure multiple domains using the same nameserver
Can you add multiple domains to a nameserver without creating a new IP address? I have one IP address on my machine and have configured forward and reverse zone files. Names are resolving fine.
I know I can add another domain to the named.conf file and create new forward and reverse files. what name server IP would i add to the forward file for the second domain and how is it configured in the forward file? Also I have named my reverse file with the reverse of the first 3 octets of my system IP address. I need to change that and what should i use for the reverse zone names?
How do I configure the forward zone record for the newdomain? i have used the one system IP address for the name server in the myserver.com domain.
Hello,
I have 3 domains virtually hosted "name based" the first one "domain1.com" has its ServerName entered as domain1.com. this domain will load in a browser by www.domain1.com or simply domain1.com. the next two domains "domain2.com" and "domain3.com" ServerNames are listed as domain2.com and... Dear all,
I've not a good starting point I'm afraid, but I was forced to deploy Samba under pressure of failing hardware so an urgent migration was done. We didn't get the IBM AIX 6.1 supplied one running at all, so we pulled down the samba.org version 3.4.3. We couldn't get that working as... (0 Replies)

ldns-walk
ldns-walk(1) General Commands Manual ldns-walk(1)NAME
ldns-walk - Retrieve the contents of a DNSSEC signed zone
SYNOPSIS
ldns-walk [ OPTION ] ZONE
DESCRIPTION
ldns-walk is used to retrieve the contents of a DNSSEC signed zone. It does this through NSEC-walking (following the chain of NSEC
records) and 'guessing' the next non-existent owner name for each NSEC.
Note that it might get stuck on some wildcard records when used through a caching forwarder. This problem can be circumvented by querying
the authoritative nameserver directly (with the @ argument).
Of course the nameserver that is used must be DNSSEC-aware.
OPTIONS -4 Use only IPv4.
-6 Use only IPv6.
-f Do a 'full' zone walk; by default, ldns-walk will only show the names, and types present at those names. If this option is given,
all resource records will be printed.
-s name
Start the walk with this owner name. Useful when continuing the walk for a large zone.
-v verbosity
Verbosity level [1-5].
@ nameserver
Send the queries to this nameserver.
BUGS
The full zone walk function is not complete yet, it does not correctly print delegation records
