I try to configure snedmail as smtp for my solaris box. if the useres are local there's no problem everything's working fine, but is it outside, sendmail says it could find the host. why?! all other tools find diffrent host?

Since these reports are very important and go out at all times of the day, I need to be able to capture if sendmail is unsuccessful or errors out. How do I prevent AIX sendmail from doing a DNS lookup prior sending the mail?

Dear All ,
I am able to resolve my server using its ipaddress from other machines.
But not from the same machine.
But I have updated the DNS entry in /etc/resolv.conf.
Even SSH login from other server shows Hostname Lookup Failure.
Please help me on this.

Shrink or extend the size of each FILE to the specified size A FILE argument that does not exist is created. If a FILE is larger than the specified size, the extra data is lost. If a FILE is shorter, it is extended and the extended part (hole) reads as zero bytes.
