Sadly this doesn't really get us anywhere because there is no specific question with examples. Please can you tell us:-
- What OS you are using in each case? The output from uname -a would be very useful here.
- What version of Oracle client you have installed for each case?
- What default environment variables you have set in each case?
- Can you show us the connect session, query & output/errors you get?
Hopefully someone here can help you.
Please wrap all code, files, input & output/errors in CODE tags, or ICODE tags for inline text.
It makes it easier to read and preserves spacing for indenting or fixed width data.

If I enter (simplified):
find . -printf "%p\n"
then all files in the output are prepended by a "." like
./local/share/test23.log
How can achieve that
a.) the leading "./" is omitted
and/or

I am trying to use the below sed command to replace all "|" to ^, in a folder had 50 dat files. when i tried with 1 file it worked but when i tried with wild card, is not working.
