sed and cut behaving differently

I have attached a file with few records. First 2 characters of each record are binary characters. I can remove it by and it works fine. But is behaving differently and removing more than expected characters. Can someone help me in accomplishing it through sed? Thanks in advance. (13 Replies)

Hi I'm having a problem with a sed command that I thought I was using correctly but apparently that's not the case. I was hoping someone here could point out what it is I am doing wrong? The clrtobot() function clears all characters in the stdscr window from the cursor to the end of the window. The wclrtobot() function per- forms the same action in the window specified by win instead of in stdscr. The current background character (and rendition) is used to clear the screen. If the clearing action results in clearing only a portion of a multicolumn character, background characters are displayed in place of the remaining portion. PARAMETERS
win Is a pointer to the window that is to be cleared. RETURN VALUES
On success, these functions return OK. Otherwise, they return ERR. ERRORS
