Well, I did remember discussing something similar in the past - here's the relevant thread.

Here's the modified test harness:

Now it works for both: bash and ksh - when sourced OR executed.

I left the shebang so that the script could be either sourced OR executed.

I normally trace a script with the ksh -x <script name> and redirect strderr to file. But if you have a script like the examble below...... vi hairy bear=`grep bear animals` if then ksh more_animals fi If I ksh -x hairy it won't trace "more_animals" unless I put a -x in it. Is... (1 Reply)

Hi, I have used exec ("/bin/ksh -c /path/file.ksh arg1"); to execute the file.ksh script from a test.pl script.        mencal - menstruation calendar

SYNOPSIS

       mencal [options] [file1 file2 ... -c CONF1 -c CONF2 ...]

DESCRIPTION

   Display options:
       -m, --monday
	      draw monday as first weekday (sunday is default)

       -1     current month (default)

       -3     previous, current and next month

       -y [YYYY]
	      all-year calendar (default YYYY is current year)

       -q, --quiet
	      no top information will be printed

       -n, --nocolor
	      noncolored output

       -i, --icolor COLOR
	      intersection color (default red)

	      available colors: red, green, blue, yellow, violet, cyan, shiny, bold

   mencal configuration:
       -c, --config
	      s=[YYYY]MMDD,l=LL,d=DD,n=NAME,f=FILE,c=COLOR

	      The  second argument is a comma separated list of options. No spaces are allowed in this list. If no name is specified, 'Unknown' is
	      used.  Various -c options or filenames can be set.
