Probably delays involved, waits during which it will ignore any transmitted data.
You may need something like the expect tool, which will wait for preprogrammed input before replying with preprogrammed output.

Hello. I have a TCL script that logs in to a server using SSH. As SSH isn't available in windows,I used Plink to do the job.The script works fine on my PC and 2 of my friend's PC.
However, on one PC, I get the following error message:

imp_02042008.txt for date 02-04-2008
imp_03092009.txt for date 03-09-2009
imp_25112009.txt for date 25-11-2009
...................
........
in some folder.

Hi,
I'm testing out this plink script - which will be executed to shutdown multiple LPARs.
This consists from:
plink -i /path/ssh/cert/ root@host shutdown -F
plink -i /path/ssh/cert/ root@host2 shutdown -F

NAME
tasksel - a user interface for installing tasks
SYNOPSIS
tasksel install <task>
tasksel remove <task>
tasksel [options]
DESCRIPTION
tasksel shows all available tasks and allows to user to select ones to install
OPTIONS
-t, --test
test mode; don't actually install or remove packages
--new-install
automatically select some tasks without even displaying them to the user; default other tasks to on; used during new Debian installs.
--list-tasks
list on stdout the tasks that would be displayed in the tasksel interface
--task-packages task
lists on stdout the packages that are available and part of the given task
Note that this option may be given more than once.
--task-desc task
outputs the extended description of the given task
--debconf-apt-progress options
Pass the specified options to the debconf-apt-progress command that tasksel runs.

FILES
/usr/share/tasksel/*.desc and /usr/local/share/tasksel/*.desc are used to define tasks.
