Sending mail with attachment(image) using sendmail in Linux(ksh)
Hi guys,
I am trying to send a mail with below command which is working fine. $FilePath_mail have To,From and other information along with mail body which is in HTML format. I want to have image(logo) in the body. So just wanted to send it as an an attachment.
Could you guys help me how to change the above command to add the attachment(basically an image) to the mail.

Hi, I need to send a email as a txt file and i used the commands,
(echo `echo $EMAIL_MSG` ; uuencode "file.txt" "file.txt" ) | mailx -s "$EMAIL_SUBJECT" "$EMAIL_ID"
I received email with a attachment with all data but i get all of them in one row.
For example:

In my .ksh script, I am sending an email with body and attachment (.txt) using sendmail command. I am able to receive the attachement along with the body of the mail. Can anyone point out some examples on how to use sendmail to send mails with attachments. We have a requirement to change from address and so we are not able to use uuencode along with mailx for sending emails. All your reponses are highly appreciated.

SYNOPSIS
sensible-mda from to detail client-addr
DESCRIPTION
sensible-mda is used to simplify the installation and configuration of sendmail(8) , or other MTAs for use on Debian systems. With sensi-
ble-mda, sendmail can support a plethora of MDAs (procmail, maildrop, deliver, etc.) without having pick any one of them as required.
FUNCTION
sensible-mda is called by sendmail as a local mailer when the following exists in sendmail.mc:
define(`LOCAL_MAILER_ARGS', `sensible-mda $g $u $h ${client_addr}')dnl
sensible-mda will look for the following MDAs (in this order), and pass the mail on to the first SUID MDA found (Or first found MDA, if run
w/euid=root): procmail(1), maildrop(1), deliver(8), mail.local(8)OPTIONS
Available command line options are the following:
from The sender of this email (sendmail $g variable)
to The recipient of this email (sendmail $u variable)
detail The detail portion of the recipient userid (sendmail $h variable) - ie:
cowboy+sendmail@debian.org
client-addr
TCP/IP address of the sender (sendmail ${client_addr} variable) Not used (for the nonce)
