I didn't follow the thread to its entirety, so can't tell where you got stuck, but if the approach using a dynamic DNS service doesn't work: I faintly remember to run a tiny cron job on my (internal) server checking for the router's WAN address, and, if changed, send out an e-mail with it. That wouldn't be something to satisfy customers' or public's needs, but it was enough to keep a path open for me to do remote maintenance.

Hello,
This is a 2 node sun cluster 3.2 on solaris 10(x86)
I am using an unique ~512M disk (c0d1) on each node and slice 6 on this disk for globaldevices. While everything looks like fine, the 'Fail' is bothering me.

I am using the dd command on solaris 10 and the output doesn't include the MB/s statistic that you get in Linux,
is this not available or am I missing a switch of some sort

I'm currently running a CUPS server and it shows the printers on other computers just fine, but after a while they disappear. I found out, that restarting /etc/init.d/cups-browsed fixes the problem (for about 15min).

NAME
apticron - Generate a mail listing packages which are pending an upgrade
SYNOPSIS
apticron [--cron]
DESCRIPTION
apticron is a shell script which generates a mail with a list of all packages currently pending an upgrade, as well as summary of changes -
using apt-listchanges - to a configurable Email address.
apticron is mainly intended for automatic notification of pending security updates but can also be used in many other situations where
timely updates are necessary.
The --cron option is only meant to be used when invoked by cron in order to run no more than once a day.
FILES
/etc/apticron/apticron.conf
Configuration file, Email address to mail and profile for use with apt-listchanges are configurable.
/etc/cron.d/apticron
Cron job for executing apticron daily.
/etc/cron.daily/apticron
Fallback cron script for executing apticron (if no crond running or system down at designated time).
/var/lib/misc/apticron.cron
Time stamp file used by apticron when invoked with --cron option.
