Need info on looping
My script will do:

In infinite loop,
If file.txt has data, mail the content of it
wait for 30 minutes, repeat above step.
At the same time, keep checking if End_of_day.log is present.
If End_of_day.log present, stop infinite loop.
Code:
while true
do
	if [[ -s file.txt ]]; then
		### here im mailing content of file.txt
	fi
	
	if [[ -e End_of_day.log ]]; then
		exit 0
	fi
	
	sleep 30m
done

In addition to mailing, Script should abend/fail, but continue the loop till End_of_day.log present
If i add exit 1 after ### mail, script is getting stopped.
Can you please suggest, how to implement above requirement. Mine is Linux machine.

NAME

       writelog - add a entry to an INN log file.

SYNOPSIS

       writelog name text...

DESCRIPTION

       The writelog script is used to write a log entry or send it as mail.  The name parameter specifies the name of the log file where the entry
       should be written.  If it is the word ``mail'' then the entry is mailed to the  news  administrator,  <USER specified with --with-news-mas-
       ter at configure>.  The data that is written or sent consists of the text given on the command line, followed by standard input indented by
