hi,I am new to shell script,I have String,like this:
Number of rows exported: 5321
the numbe at end could changing,how can I extract this number and assign it to a variable,then use it later in script.

I have a txt file as database. when i run my program what it does is it ask me for 3 name and stored in the file as
name1:name2:name3:1
when u enter 3 name it add those in file as above format and add 1 at the end. I what i want is if i enter same names again it changes that 1 to 2 and so... (3 Replies)

The iswalpha() function is the wide-character equivalent of the isalpha(3) function. It tests whether wc is a wide character belonging to the wide-character class "alpha". The wide-character class "alpha" is a subclass of the wide-character class "alnum", and therefore also a subclass of the wide-character class "graph" and of the wide-character class "print". Being a subclass of the wide-character class "print", the wide-character class "alpha" is disjoint from the wide-character class "cntrl". Being a subclass of the wide-character class "graph", the wide-character class "alpha" is disjoint from the wide-character class "space" and its subclass "blank". Being a subclass of the wide-character class "alnum", the wide-character class "alpha" is disjoint from the wide-character class "punct".
