Another option would be to use oracle heterogeneous connectivity to connect to DB2. Use an ERD tool like Erwin to reverse engineer the DB2 database and convert it to Oracle. Then create the new tables in Oracle without indexes, constraints or triggers, then you can just run insert into table as select commands to directly move your data to the new tables. Then generate the script for indexes and constraints and write any triggers and or stored procedures that you need. Finally automate the process and do many test runs.

db2_close - Closes a database connection

SYNOPSIS
bool db2_close (resource $connection) DESCRIPTION
This function closes a DB2 client connection created with db2_connect(3) and returns the corresponding resources to the database server. If you attempt to close a persistent DB2 client connection created with db2_pconnect(3), the close request is ignored and the persistent DB2 client connection remains available for the next caller.
