Operating Systems Linux Red Hat Related to "NAS" some file system (mounted volumes) were not writable Post 302986813 by hicksd8 on Wednesday 30th of November 2016 10:03:56 AM

What network protocol does the NAS use? Is it NFS? Or something else?

The NAS might default to read-only access without logging-in with user credentials so in that case, if the NAS OS rebooted for some reason, all access would default to read-only. Most NAS implementations require some user/passwd credentials to grant write access.

This event may well just be a one-off and won't (or rarely) happen again.
