How to install devtoolset-4 on RHEL Workstation 7.2?
Good morning I`m a fresh new user of RHEL, I have some problems to install the python`s package devtoolset.
Up to now I have tried with
which is the way suggested in all guide I have found.
But I get the message:
I think is a problem of the so called optional channel.
I have enabled the packages of workstation extra, workstation rhn tools and workstation option.
What should I do?

Hi ,
I want to install RHCS on a remote RHEL machine. This machine is in amazon ec2, is there any way to do it without accessing the media?
# cat /etc/redhat-release

Thanks in advance. (1 Reply)
I wanted clarity on the steps to install RHEL 6.0. The steps are as follows:-
1) Download the ISO image from the Red Hat site.
2) Burn it into DVD.
3) Download boot.iso from Red Hat (Is this step required or ISO image can install RHEL 6.0 by itself?)
4) Start installation from DVD.

After checking the dependencies from below command:-
yum deplist gcc
Update:-
Now when I tried to install the very first dependency , it gave the below error, I guess something is wrong with YUM server itself :P

Hi,
I am trying to install git on RHEL 6. From the research I have done I should be able to just say:
sudo yum install git
but it is not working (it says no package git is available). I am fairly new to linux and cannot figure this out.
Thanks for any help you can provide. (7 Replies)
Hi
We have RHEL 6.7 on an HP physical server and want to install RHEL 7 (not upgrade) on top of it by means of virtualization. Is it possible to install/configure RHEV/KVM virtualization on base RHEL 6.7 OS instance and then install RHEL 7 as a VM guest on it? If yes, could you please guide me... (1 Reply)

Locale::Codes::LangVar(3) User Contributed Perl Documentation Locale::Codes::LangVar(3)NAME
Locale::Codes::LangVar - standard codes for language variation identification
SYNOPSIS
use Locale::Codes::LangVar;
$lvar = code2langvar('acm'); # $lvar gets 'Mesopotamian Arabic'
$code = langvar2code('Mesopotamian Arabic'); # $code gets 'acm'
@codes = all_langvar_codes();
@names = all_langvar_names();
DESCRIPTION
The "Locale::Codes::LangVar" module provides access to standard codes used for identifying language variations, such as those as defined in
the IANA language registry.
Most of the routines take an optional additional argument which specifies the code set to use. If not specified, the default IANA language
registry codes will be used.
SUPPORTED CODE SETS
There are several different code sets you can use for identifying language variations. A code set may be specified using either a name, or
a constant that is automatically exported by this module.
For example, the two are equivalent:
$lvar = code2langvar('arevela','alpha');
$lvar = code2langvar('arevela',LOCALE_LANGVAR_ALPHA);
The codesets currently supported are:
alpha
This is the set of alphanumeric codes from the IANA language registry, such as 'arevela' for Eastern Armenian.
This code set is identified with the symbol "LOCALE_LANGVAR_ALPHA".
This is the default code set.
ROUTINES

Locale::Codes::LangVar::add_langvar ( CODE ,NAME [,CODESET] )
Locale::Codes::LangVar::delete_langvar ( CODE [,CODESET] )
Locale::Codes::LangVar::add_langvar_alias ( NAME ,NEW_NAME )
Locale::Codes::LangVar::delete_langvar_alias ( NAME )

Locale::Codes::LangVar::add_langvar_code_alias ( CODE ,NEW_CODE [,CODESET] )
Locale::Codes::LangVar::delete_langvar_code_alias ( CODE [,CODESET] )
These routines are all documented in the Locale::Codes::API man page.
