IBM-software patches usually include all the former versions in later versions, so (without having tried fix8) i suppose you can directly install it because it contains all the files from the predecessors if they are not already replaced by later versions.
At any rate, you can simply try it: if it fails with "unresolved dependencies" or something such you just have lost a few minutes of your time. No harm will be done to your system.

Hi All,
I upgraded my openssh to 5.0. Now I need to modify the sshd_config file to my company's new policy. My problem? There are two config file on my system:
/usr/local/etc/sshd_config
and
/etc/ssh/sshd_config

First of all, I wanted to try AIX and purchased a rs6000 from ebay with AIX6.1 installed.
My plan is to lear AIX, but I need to install ssh on the machine for the remote access.
The point is that I have seen nowhere a how'to or something.

Net::OpenSSH::Compat - Compatibility modules for Net::OpenSSH
SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION
This package contains a set of adapter modules that run on top of Net::OpenSSH providing the APIs of other SSH modules available from CPAN.
Currently, there are adapters available for Net::SSH2 and Net::SSH::Perl. Adapters for Net::SSH and Net::SFTP are planned... maybe also for
Net::SCP and Net::SCP::Expect if somebody request them.
