Need a piece of shell scripting to remove column from a csv file
Hi,
I need to remove first column from a csv file and i can do this by using below command.
Code:
cut -f1 -d, --complement Mytest.csv
I need to implement this in shell scripting, Whenever i am using the above command alone in command line it is working fine.
I have 5 files in my directory and i need to find this file and then need to remove the first column from the file and i have to use the updated file which doesn't contain the removed column for later use in the script.
I tried few ways but no luck, its is just displaying the data which is there in Mytest.csv.

i have a csv file .
In the 7th column i have data that has line feed in it.
Requirement is to remove the line feed from the 7th column whenever it appears
There are 11 columns in the file
C1,C2,C3,C4,C5,C6,C7,C8,C9,C10,C11

colrm -- remove columns from a file
SYNOPSIS
colrm [start [stop]]
DESCRIPTION
The colrm utility removes selected columns from the lines of a file. A column is defined as a single character in a line. Input is read
from the standard input. Output is written to the standard output.
If only the start column is specified, columns numbered less than the start column will be written. If both start and stop columns are spec-
ified, columns numbered less than the start column or greater than the stop column will be written. Column numbering starts with one, not
zero.
Tab characters increment the column count to the next multiple of eight. Backspace characters decrement the column count by one.
ENVIRONMENT
The LANG, LC_ALL and LC_CTYPE environment variables affect the execution of colrm as described in environ(7).
EXIT STATUS
The colrm utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if an error occurs.
