You failed to mention which shell you are using. With a not too old bash that has extended pattern matching with the extglob shell option, and a config file with directory and keyword in it like
this might already do the trick:
Of course, this is not yet bullet proof, as there's no error checking yet built in, and the positive message is missing, too.

Hi,
Want to know, is there any way to restrict a Solaris user to Single Login. Means a particular user can login once and if he or someone else tries to login with his ID then a message displayed "user already logged in" and denies his attempt.

array_push
ARRAY_PUSH(3) 1 ARRAY_PUSH(3)array_push - Push one or more elements onto the end of arraySYNOPSIS
int array_push (array &$array, mixed $value1, [mixed $...])
DESCRIPTION array_push(3) treats $array as a stack, and pushes the passed variables onto the end of $array. The length of $array increases by the num-
ber of variables pushed. Has the same effect as:
<?php
$array[] = $var;
?>
Note
If you use array_push(3) to add one element to the array it's better to use $array[] = because in that way there is no overhead of
calling a function.
Note
array_push(3) will raise a warning if the first argument is not an array. This differs from the $var[] behaviour where a new array
is created.
PARAMETERS
o $array
- The input array.
o $value1
- The first value to push onto the end of the $array.
RETURN VALUES
Returns the new number of elements in the array.
EXAMPLES
Example #1
array_push(3) example
<?php
$stack = array("orange", "banana");
array_push($stack, "apple", "raspberry");
print_r($stack);
?>
The above example will output:
Array
(
[0] => orange
[1] => banana
[2] => apple
[3] => raspberry
)
