Hmmmmm..........very unusual in my experience for Solaris to hang.

Could be hardware, software, or other.

Have you put other OS's on the box with no problems?

You say it's only when you launch Firefox that it hangs each second time?

Have you tried Solaris 11.1 rather than Solaris 11.3? It's just a shot in the dark but I have experienced various iffy network issues with 11.3 which weren't apparent on 11.1

What if you throw on Solaris 10 just for test purposes.

Solaris ssh client hangs when connecting to another Solaris machine

Got a strange problem. I have 4 Solaris servers all configured the same, Solaris 10 x86 update 10. When I try to ssh from one Solaris 10 server to another server ssh hangs.        Intro, intro - introduction to kernel data structures and properties

DESCRIPTION

       Section	9P  describes kernel properties used by device drivers. Section 9S describes the data structures used by drivers to share informa-
       tion between the driver and the kernel. See Intro(9E) for an overview of device driver interfaces.
