For os2mac to be correct it would mean that the system booted with Jan 1 1970 or something, and the login process somehow has the another date - as an example. This sounds implausible. I must be missing something. When did you set the system time - during install or with the date

one user is created named "user1"
I login as "user1" . Now when i do "su -" to be root user I have to give password for root .
Is there any way through which we can skip giving the password to root.
i.e.
user1@work:~$ su -

install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation,
install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
The following minimum requirements for physical memory dictate which features are available during installation:
For SPARC machines:
128 MB
Minimum physical memory for all installation types
128 MB
Minimum physical memory required for windowing system
384 MB
Minimum physical memory required for graphical-based installation
For x86 machines:
256 MB
Minimum physical memory for all installation types
256 MB
