Linux ksh script not working in crontab

I am Not sure why following script is not capturing the counts only when using crontab !! when I run it fromt he command line it is fine ! what is missing here !

Code:
#!/usr/bin/ksh

host=`uname -n`
tdate=`date`
userid='dbid/password'

totalevents=`sqlplus -s $userid << -
  set timing off
  set head off
  select count(1) from async_data_transfer where interface_id='9';

-
`
totalevents=$(echo $totalevents | tr -d '\n ')

EmailList=hello@yahoo.com\

"
echo "$totalevents"
echo "Estimated queue accumulated per SSG in Reston = $totalevents events. " | mailx -s "$host Reston SSG Queue Counts" $EmailList
exit 0

Here is my crontab looks like:

Code:
0,15,30,45 * * * * /home/cpac/scripts/CommandLine/chkssgQueue.ksh > /dev/null

Just figured it out. I just needed to add this line to my script:
Code:
. ${HOME}/.profile

crontab just does not have a way to know where my sqlplus is located. It worked when I added that line and it worked.

IFX_CONNECT(3)								 1							    IFX_CONNECT(3)

ifx_connect - Open Informix server connection

SYNOPSIS
resource ifx_connect ([string $database], [string $userid], [string $password]) DESCRIPTION
ifx_connect(3) establishes a connection to an Informix server. In case a second call is made to ifx_connect(3) with the same arguments, no new link will be established, but instead, the link identifier of the already opened link will be returned. The link to the server will be closed as soon as the execution of the script ends, unless it's closed earlier by explicitly calling ifx_close(3). PARAMETERS
All of the arguments are optional, and if they're missing, defaults are taken from values supplied in php.ini (ifx.default_host for the host (Informix libraries will use INFORMIXSERVER environment value if not defined), ifx.default_user for user, ifx.default_password for the password (none if not defined). o $database - The database name, as a string. o $userid - The username, as a string. o $password - The password, as a string. RETURN VALUES
Returns a connection identifier on success, or FALSE on error. EXAMPLES
Example #1 Connect to a Informix database <?php $conn_id = ifx_connect ("mydb@ol_srv1", "imyself", "mypassword"); ?> SEE ALSO
