I have 2 files as follow:

urlWebserviceCheckAddress^=McoConfigGlobal.commonGLOBALUrlWebservice
file 2

Here is a data file, which I believe is in YAML. I am trying to retrieve just the 'addon_domains" section, which doesnt seem to be as easy as I had originally thought. Please help me with rsync.
I configured rsync to preserve timestamps using the -a option.
When i renamed fileA to fileB on source machine I have to copies at the backup server.
The aim is to keep the most recent file.
fileA & fileB has same contents.

In the perl below I am trying to set/update the value of $14 (last field) in file2, using the matching NM_ in $12
or $9 in file2 with the NM_ in $2 of file1.
The lengths of $9 and $12 can be variable but what is consistent is the start pattern will always be NM_ and the end pattern is always

In the awk below I am trying to add a penalty to a score to each matching $1 in file2 based on the sum of $3+$4 (variable TL) from file1. After the success of the jq - tool for parsing and manipulating JSON-Data someone wrote a tool called yq, which aims to be the same for YAML, what jq is for JSON. Seems to work fine. I'll definitely give it a chance in future.

yodlpost - Yodl post-processor SYNOPSIS
yodlpost [options] index yodlout [out] DESCRIPTION
The Yodl post processor is used to solve references into the converted text, and to split (where appropriate) the converted Yodl text in parts. Some conversions do not require post-processing, such as LaTeX, but most do. Therefore, in most cases a Yodl conversion consists of two phases: o First, yodl(1) is called, producing a raw output file and an associated index file; o Then, yodlpost(1) is called, converting these two files into a final document. Normally, yodl2...(1) scripts are used to perform complete Yodl conversions. OPTIONS
-x ext: extension of the out-s if different from out's extension itself. If omitted, and out has no extension, ypp (Yodl Post Processor) is used. SEE ALSO
