You haven't told us:
- what distribution you're using,
- what sizes of disks you have,
- what types of disks you have,
- what types of controllers you have,
- what type of computer you're using,
- what applications you'll be running on this server,
- how many people are in your large social group, nor
- what the people in your large social group hope to do with this server.
Don't you think some of the items in the above list might affect what filesystems you might need on your server and that they might also affect the amount of space that should be allocated to those filesystems?

Basically source is unix and target is linux.
i would like to copy entire file system unix/source/* to target linux/souce/*
