ok, thanks for the tips both
* First I attached another HD. It gave the same error booting from cd.
* Then I took the suggestion to go to the bios and set to default. (that changed my first bootingdevice priority, so I put that back to cd)
but booting from cd still not work...
* In the meantime I downloaded the netinstall but the same frustrating result when trying to boot it.
This is sooo weird
I wonder if it could have maybe anything to do with that small battery for the bios?..that one has never been replaced.
Could that give this effect..?

YABAUSE(1) General Commands Manual YABAUSE(1)
NAME
yabause - Yet Another Buggy And Uncomplete Saturn Emulator
SYNOPSIS
yabause [ -afh ] [ -b <BIOS> | -nb ] [ -i <ISO> ] [ --binary=<BINARY>[:<ADDRESS>] ]
DESCRIPTION
Yabause is a Sega Saturn emulator. Yabause needs either a bios file, a game or a binary to run. Games can be loaded from a real cd device
or from dump files.
OPTIONS
-a
--autostart
Automatically start emulation.
-b
--bios Choose a bios file.
--binary
Use a binary file. Content of the file will be loaded to 0x06004000 and execution will start from that address. You can provide an
alternative address to load and run the binary with the --binary=<BINARY>:<ADDRESS> syntax. When using this option, emulation is
automatically started and you shouldn't use it in conjunction with -a. This option is intended for homebrew developers wanting to
test their programs in Yabause.
-nb Use the emulated bios.
FILES
<BIOS> A Saturn ROM BIOS image.
