So, now that you're using the correct header, it is telling you that the termios related functions expect a file descriptor (not a stdio stream pointer) as their 1st argument. What have you done to fix that?
What does your code look like now?
Have you added code to check function calls for success and to report errors that were detected?
I repeat: What return statement did you add to your function and where did you place it?
I repeat: What terminal characteristics does your scale hardware expect on its communication link to your system?

Hi,
I have a system where sendmail deamon not running.
(And I have lot of jobs under crontab).
But I have whole lot of sendmail processes started-up by cron process, eating up its CPU resources. (for a sample - see below)

When I tried to telnet to lparB from lparA, it hangs at "Escape character is..".
I've tried;
- killed -15
- re-started it
- edit netsvc.conf, hosts=local,bind and hosts=local,bind4
- checked /etc/hosts for 127.0.0.1 loopback localhost

this program then requires a filename as input.
how do i give it this input in the script so the program will be complete run and close by the script.

I've set sysback to run in the cron daily to backup my servers to a nim servers SAN storage. Every once and a while the backup process hangs and the backup doesn't complete. When I check the processes the sysback processes are still running hours after sysback would normally end. I don't see any... (1 Reply)

If I do sftp between some nodes that we installed it works fine i can list
directories and get files.
If I connect with sftp from the other side of a firewall (wich has port 22 open)

NAME
svm-scale - scale data to a restricted range as preprocessing for SVM training
SYNOPSIS
svm-scale [ -l lower ] [ -u upper ] [ -y y_upper ] [ -s save_filename ] [ -r restore_filename ] datafilename
DESCRIPTION
svm-scale reads the given datafilename (a training or testing data file as specified in svm_train(1) or svm_predict(1) ) and scales all
dimensions to the given ranges.
OPTIONS
-l lower
lower is the lowest (minimal) value allowed in each dimension. It defaults to -1.
-u upper
upper is the highest (maximal) value allowed in each dimension. It defaults to 1.
-y y_lower
y_lower is a boolean value (0 or 1) indicating whether or not y-values (targets) should be scaled. It defaults to 0.
-s save_filename
save_filename indicates the filename to save the scaled data to.
-r restore_filename
restore_filename indicates the filename reserved to hold the original (unscaled) data in case there is a need to restore.
FILES
datafilename must be a training or testing dataset.
ENVIRONMENT
No environment variables.
