Print particular string in a field of csv file - part 2
Hi, all
I need your help and suggestions.
I want to print particular strings in a field of a csv file and show them in terminal. Here is an example of the csv file.

When i tried to print them using this code:
I get the wrong result like this:
because it just print the fifth column, and each of them has different column.
Would you mind to help me to solve it? I really need your help. Thanks in advance.
I'm executing "wc -lc" command in a c shell script to get record count and byte counts and writing them to a file. I get the result with the full pathname of the file. how can i remove the strings after the last dot (.) and reprint the file?

SYNOPSIS
rec2csv [OPTIONS]... [REC_FILE]
DESCRIPTION
Convert rec data into csv data.
-t, --type=TYPE
record set to convert to csv; if this parameter is omitted then the default record set is used
-S, --sort=FIELD
sort the output by the specified field.
--help print a help message and exit.
