This appears to be a duplicate of the thread Copying a file with UTF char on UNIX server.
Instead of answering the questions you were asked in that thread; you chose to ignore the requests to show the code you were using, the locales being used by the processes that were failing, etc.
I see no reason to start a new thread to discuss the same issues.

I am facing a strange problem on one of my unix servers.
When i try to login using the standard method:
it fails with below message
>sqlplus REF1SSTDBO1/REF1SSTDBO1@TKS3N10G

But it works perfectly when i escape with ;\

Hi,
I have tried to convert a UTF-8 file to windows UTF-16 format file as below from unix machine
unix2dos < testing.txt | iconv -f UTF-8 -t UTF-16 > out.txt
and i am getting some chinese characters as below which l opened the converted file on windows machine.

Whenever i declare an array, and then using sqlplus, i am getting sqlplus error and return code 127.

I need to run a SQL which check for special UTF char in DB. When I try to copy that in UNIX file it changes it to some wierd chat. How can in retain the UTF chars in my script?

Hi Gurus,
I was trying to execute sqlplus command remotely like
ssh -q IP venkat@"which sqlplus"
am getting error as which: no sqlplus in (/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin)
if i connect manually and executing which sqlplus it working fine.
Please help to fix the issue.

pthread_getname_np -- get and set descriptive name of a thread

SYNOPSIS

pthread_getname_np(pthread_t thread, char *name, size_t len);

pthread_setname_np(pthread_t thread, const char *name, void *arg);
DESCRIPTION
The pthread_getname_np() function obtains the descriptive name of a thread. It takes the following arguments:
thread The thread whose descriptive name will be obtained.
name The buffer to be filled with the descriptive name of the thread.
len The size of the buffer name in bytes.
The pthread_setname_np() function sets the descriptive name of a thread. It takes the following arguments:
thread The thread whose descriptive name will be set.
name The printf(3) format string to be used to construct the descriptive name of the thread. The resulted descriptive name should
be shorter than PTHREAD_MAX_NAMELEN_NP.
arg The printf(3) argument used with name.
RETURN VALUES
Both functions return 0 on success. Otherwise, an error number is returned to indicate the error.
COMPATIBILITY
Both functions are non-standard extensions.
ERRORS
Both functions may fail if:
[EINVAL] Invalid parameter.
[ESRCH] Non-existent thread.
The pthread_setname_np() function may also fail if:
[ENOMEM] There was insufficient memory for the operation.
