Actually I wanted to put all Extension in a Variable and then search it.

like ACC_EXT=".TXT$|.DOC$|.XLS$|.XLSX$|.DOCX$|.PDF$"

Would someone would be able to help. where i am wrong.

Find in conjunction with the period(.) will start looking from the current directory and prune the rest of the dirs. Meaning it will look in the cwd you are in. Then when it finds a folder it will look in that folder as well.

Find in conjunction with the forward slash(/) will start looking from the top of your directory tree.

Actually I want to transfer from only one single dir. neither the top directory nor any prune required. Thanks for your reply.

NAME

       gnomevfs-copy - copy a file from one VFS location to another

SYNOPSIS

       gnomevfs-copy [-h] source-URI destination-URI

DESCRIPTION

       gnomevfs-copy copies a file from one URI location to another, using the virtual file system.

OPTIONS

       The following options are supported:

       -h	       Display usage and help information.

OPERANDS

       The following operands are supported:

       source-URI      Specifies the source file location in standard URI format.

       destination-URI Specifies the destination file or directory location in standard URI format.

EXAMPLES

       Example 1: Copying a File From a Web Server to a Local File

       example% gnomevfs-copy http://www.sun.com file:///home/user/index.html

ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES

       See environ(5) for descriptions of the following environment variables: NLSPATH.

EXIT STATUS
