Hello Stew,

Following may help you in same, following code will check if field 1st is less than 300 then it will print 300 at first field else it will print actual 1st field's values.
Code:
awk '{$1=$1<300?300:$1} 1'  Input_file

Output will be as follows.
Code:
300 32000 32 128

Also you can redirect this to a output file as per your requirement too.

tiffset - set a field in a TIFF header SYNOPSIS
tiffset [ options ] filename.tif DESCRIPTION
Tiffset sets the value of a TIFF header to a specified value. OPTIONS
-d dirnumber change the current directory (starting at 0). -s tagnumber [ count ] value ... Set the value of the named tag to the value or values specified. -sd diroffset change the current directory by offset. -sf tagnumber filename Set the value of the tag to the contents of filename.
