Note: you can separate performance gathering from plotting by using something like gnuplot. There are a number of tools that can gather linux performance data. I suggest googling. Here is one such example:

Hi folks I am looking for tool which have graphical presentation for cpu and disk characteristics. Cpu is the least of the concern, disk is the most. pid Process ID of a Java VM that was started with -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote option on the same machine.
