How many files per day?
Are they easy to identify?
Do you want to transfer them individually or tar/zip them up and unpack on the Windows system?
Yes, ftp can be used. It's insecure but fine on a LAN behind a firewall.
You can use cron to schedule a daily job. I've done it loads of times.
Approximately its around 35 GB, data of 200 solaris users approx. Would like to zip them possibly and transfer it to windows
