Trac styling

I am using trac (The Trac Project) for an intranet and want to ensure the styling is aligned with the corporate styling. After I have identified and amended the stylesheets (trac.css, admin.css etc), the changes are not propagated to the site. Perhaps the styling is interpreted in another way? How can I propagate trac stylesheet changes so that they are reflected on screen?
