Please understand that the scope of our forum is limited: we can help if you were stuck somewhere, but you need to know the basics of our work yourself. We simply cannot teach you "Systems Administration 101" in a thread like this. The comment above may seem high-riding on my part, but it isn't intended to be. It is just the expression of resignation that what you ask us to do is beyond our capabilities. We cannot do your work over the internet with the forum as a "connection".
To add on that: i suggest you ask whoever gave you the root access to this system to take it back. Accessing a system as superuser with as little knowledge as yours is dangerous and can cause severe accidents - the same way driving without having obtained a license is dangerous, for the driver as well as for the rest of the traffic.
For the reasons given above i am going to close this thread.
