HI I have made a connection with external server which is also UNIX. I was tryign connectivity with this by telnet which fails and ping i sshowing socket is alive and traceroute tells the asterisk astersik:traceroute to 153.88.182.28 (153.88.182.28), 30 hops max, 8080 byte packets

hi all
just installed the netsec.options.tcpwrapper from expansion pack, which used to be a rpm, for my aix 6.1 test box.
it is so unpredictable. i set up the hosts.deny as suggested for all and allow the sshd for specific ip addresses/hostnames.

I am having issues using ftp between a solaris 10 server to a HP-UX 11.31 server, but from the solaris server to the hp-ux I am able to ping. This is what I have done so far:

Newbie with UNIX here.
Currently troubleshooting a UNIX terminal we have.
I determined it to be bad and swapped it out with a known good terminal. I went in and changed the IP address and host name to reflect the old terminal. Although now there is no connectivity.

I developed a script that checks the connectivity using different commands (ping, telnet, nc, curl).

I am trying to establish passwordless connectivity between server A and server B, but unsuccessfuly, because I beleive two issues.

int menu_opts_on(MENU *menu, Menu_Options opts);
int menu_opts_off(MENU *menu, Menu_Options opts);
Menu_Options menu_opts(const MENU *menu);
DESCRIPTION
The function set_menu_opts sets all the given menu's option bits (menu option bits may be logically-OR'ed together).
The function menu_opts_on turns on the given option bits, and leaves others alone.
The function menu_opts_off turns off the given option bits, and leaves others alone.
The function menu_opts returns the menu's current option bits.
The following options are defined (all are on by default):
O_ONEVALUE
Only one item can be selected for this menu.
O_SHOWDESC
Display the item descriptions when the menu is posted.
O_ROWMAJOR
Display the menu in row-major order.
O_IGNORECASE
Ignore the case when pattern-matching.
O_SHOWMATCH
Move the cursor to within the item name while pattern-matching.
O_NONCYCLIC
Don't wrap around next-item and previous-item, requests to the other end of the menu.
RETURN VALUE
Except for menu_opts, each routine returns one of the following:
E_OK The routine succeeded.
E_SYSTEM_ERROR
System error occurred (see errno).
E_POSTED
The menu is already posted.

The header file <menu.h> automatically includes the header file <curses.h>.
PORTABILITY
