Just don't post things in social media you don't want public.

Really, its not rocket science.

All the "nay sayer" arguments are no different than "nay sayer" arguments for all other emerging technologies embraced by younger generations and feared and loathed by older generations.

There was a time when the same arguments were made about "the Internet" and how it would destroy our lives and our privacy.

I use social media (and most all of my friends and family do as well) with zero problems; and without any fear of privacy, tracking, etc because I don't post things which I do not want public or tracked.

Simple.
