Generally vendor will do the HMC setup and installation ( and in some cases VIOS and few LPARS too).

But to answer your question, 1st you do HMC installation followed by VIOS then followed by AIX. (assuming you are virtualizing your env).

If you do HMC 1st, then you can see the Manage systems and do all the virtualization from HMC.

Hi, when I boot I get an E1DC error code. I've looked it up and it says that this error occurs during the firmware check. setup provides a graphical installation interface for EPM-generated portable installation packages. It presents a step-by-step dialog for collecting a list of packages to install and accepting any license agreements for those packages. setup searches for products in the current directory or the directory specified on the command-line.
