When I enter SMIT on this box, I get
ERROR MESSAGE: Unable to open temp file

So I sorted my file as I was supposed to:
sort -n -r -k 2 -k 1 file1 | uniq > file2
and when I wrote
> cat file2
in the command line, I got what I was expecting, but in the script itself

I cannot use scp, because it's blocked.

NAME
setcat() - set the default message catalog
SYNOPSIS
DESCRIPTION
The routine sets the default message catalog for use by other formatting routines (see gettxt(3C) and pfmt(3C)).
msgcat specifies the file to use as the default catalog. The file name is limited to 14 characters. No checking is done to make sure that
the file exists. The value of msgcat determines what happens to the default message catalog:
string Sets the default message catalog to string.
NULL Returns a pointer to the current default message catalog. The default catalog is not changed.
empty string Resets to no catalog.
RETURN VALUE
Upon successful completion, returns a pointer to the default catalog. Otherwise, returns a NULL pointer.
EXAMPLES
The following example gets its message from the message catalog file:
WARNINGS
