Depends on what your job is. I would put it this way. Unix-like systems are very alike and if you are an experienced linux administrator it would not be a big deal to learn AIX, Solaris etc. Most of the tools are very similar and OS (meant unix-like) specialities you can learn quickly especially when you work with experienced colleagues.
If you want to start your carier go with the distro you like most and learn it as good as possible. Once you learn the possibilities and basic features of one, it is only about looking forthe way how to do it on another system or whether it is even possible.
From my experience when I tried to learn Solaris, BSD's, linux, windows and basicaly I ended up with barely usable knowledge. Wide spread is a great thing as long as you can do at least one thing good enough to live from it. I only wish I realized this long time ago.

install-solaris - install the Solaris operating system SYNOPSIS
install-solaris install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation, install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer. The following minimum requirements for physical memory dictate which features are available during installation: For SPARC machines: 128 MB Minimum physical memory for all installation types 128 MB Minimum physical memory required for windowing system 384 MB Minimum physical memory required for graphical-based installation For x86 machines: 256 MB Minimum physical memory for all installation types 256 MB Minimum physical memory required for windowing system 512 MB Minimum physical memory required for graphical-based installation In some cases, even if the minimum physical memory is present, available virtual memory after system startup can limit the number of fea- tures available. install-solaris exists only on the Solaris installation media (CD or DVD) and should be invoked only from there.
