Hi all,
I have a question on how to search for a pattern in a file and return a value if it is present at that particular location.
How to read each line and each character for the pattern in the file of any format.
Eg for the file format:

Hi,
I need your help. I am at a new place, just trying to understand what's going on here. When I do df -h, I see many mounts. But most of them are automount, how do I find the real location?

is there any other useful command to go into a specific directory and not go into its subdirectories that operates similar to find.? (it will return the full pathname?) or is there any way to make find not go into the subdirectories of the specified directory? This is on ksh as well. (3 Replies)

I'm trying to remotely probe a range of IP addresses. First I need a list of IP addresses for a very small geographic area. I've had a lot of trouble obtaining them. I would like to find a database or something.
Suppose I do get the data. Can I see if that IP address is in use by someone? Can I... (2 Replies)
So, I have ffmpeg already installed on my machine,
however I can't for the life of me figure out *where*
Expanding the %path% variable shows: no ffmpeg there
Not in the Usual "Programs" Folder, or C: either.
Any way to find out where on my machine ffmpeg resides ?
Thanks in advance:

DESCRIPTION
This section describes the functions used to create, set, use and destroy the dynamic CPU sets.
This API can be used with the POSIX threads, see pthread(3) and affinity(3).
The ID of the primary CPU in the system is 0.
FUNCTIONS
cpuset_create()
Allocates and initializes a clean CPU-set. Returns the pointer to the CPU-set, or NULL on failure.
cpuset_destroy(set)
Destroy the CPU-set specified by set.
cpuset_zero(set)
Makes the CPU-set specified by set clean, that is, memory is initialized to zero bytes, and none of the CPUs set.
cpuset_set(cpu, set)
Sets the CPU specified by cpu in set. Returns zero on success, and -1 if cpu is invalid.
cpuset_clr(cpu, set)
Clears the CPU specified by cpu in the CPU-set set. Returns zero on success, and -1 if cpu is invalid.
cpuset_isset(cpu, set)
Checks if CPU specified by cpu is set in the CPU-set set. Returns the positive number if set, zero if not set, and -1 if cpu is
invalid.
cpuset_size(set)
Returns the size in bytes of CPU-set specified by set.
