Each system has its own catalogs, and they may well be identical at any revision but grow with revisions, but they could stop any time. Use the local api to get the messages.

Message catalogs
VCS includes multilingual support for message catalogs. These binary message
catalogs (BMCs), are stored in the following default locations. The variable
language
represents a two-letter abbreviation.

The VCS command-line interface displays error and success messages in VCSsupported
languages. The
hamsg command displays the VCS engine logs in
VCS-supported languages.
