Split a fixed length file bases on last occurence of string
Hi,
I need to split a file based on last occurece of a string. PFB the explanation
I have a file in following format
Now i need to split this file such that all the lines before the last occurence of 3186 goes to one file and all the line after that till last occurence of 9876 should go to second file. so there should be two files one with following data:
and second file should contain:
Kindly help in acheiving this.

Is there a command that sets a variable length?
I have a input of a variable length field but my output for that field needs to be set to 32 char.
Is there such a command?

I have a fixed width file of length 53. when is try to get the lengh of the record of that file i get 2 different answers.
awk '{print length;exit}' <File_name>
The above code gives me length 50.
wc -L <File_name>
The above code gives me length 53.

DESCRIPTION
trayer is a small program designed to provide system tray similar to these in GNOME / KDE desktop environments for window managers which
does not support that function. It is similar to other applications such as peksystray and docker.
System tray is a place, where many applications put their icons, so they are always visible. Such icons may present status of an applica-

--distance <length>
Specifies distance between trayer's window and screen edge (in pixels)
--distancefrom <edge>
Specifies which edge to calculate distance from, see above.
--expand true|false
Specifies whether trayer may accommodate extra space when there is too much icons.
--padding <size>
Extra space between icons and trayer window's border.
--monitor NUM|STRING
