I have an excel file generated by system in windows. I am zipping it, transfering to unix and unzipping there. But i'm getting below output while unzipping.
$ /usr/bin/unzip -a 123.zip -d .
Archive: 123.zip

FYI I've this AIX6.1 machine that I'm telnet to using Putty. I have this oracle client file which is 1G+ that took me several hours to transfer.

There are more than 100 zip files in a directory and i wanted to see if there is a max1157.txt file in any of the zip files without actually unzipping them. Could you please help. Thanks in Advance.

I have a zipped file a.zip. This has got multiple folders in it say x and y. x contains a.txt and y contains a.txt. Is it possible to unzip this file and have the 2 files extracted and rename them to unique names.

I need to write a script the has to copy the files from folders and subfolders to the same folder structure located in another location.
Ex:
mainfolder1
file1,file2,file3 subfolder1(file1,etc) subfolder2(file1,etc) to another folder location of same folder structure.

zipmerge - merge zip archives
SYNOPSIS
zipmerge [-DhIiSsV] target-zip source-zip Op source-zip ...
DESCRIPTION
zipmerge merges the source zip archives source-zip into the target zip archive target-zip. By default, files in the source zip archives
overwrite existing files of the same name in the target zip archive.
Supported options:
-D Ignore directory components in file name comparisons.
-h Display a short help message and exit.
-I Ignore case in file name comparisons
-i Ask before overwriting files. See also -s.
-S Do not overwrite files that have the same size and CRC32 in both the source and target archives.
-s When -i is given, do not before overwriting files that have the same size and CRC32.
-V Display version information and exit.
EXIT STATUS
zipmerge exits 0 on success and 1 if an error occurred.
