I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to do. First you say you want to get rid of a block of php code. (And, spacebar gives you a way to do that.) Now you're saying that you are OK with getting rid of part of that code.

Are you saying that you want to get rid of the first set of php code in a file as marked by <? and ?> with or without those two lines?

Are you saying that you want to get rid of one or more sets of nine or seven lines from a file if and only if they exactly match one of the following code segments?:
