I have requirement that I need to split my input file into two files based on a search pattern "abc"
For eg. my input file has below content
abc
defgh
zyx
I need file 1 with
abc
and file2 with
defgh
zyx

Gents,
I am trying to delete all lines which start with "H" character, but keeping the fist header. Example In the input file I will delete all lines starting from line 8 which contents character "H" to the end of the file.
I try
sed '8,10000{/^H/d;}' file

Igawk is a simple shell script that adds the ability to have ``include files'' to gawk(1).
AWK programs for igawk are the same as for gawk, except that, in addition, you may have lines like
@include getopt.awk
in your program to include the file getopt.awk from either the current directory or one of the other directories in the search path.
