Pearls before swine could be abbreviated PBS

I have these mental shorthands, e.g., OPC for other people's code/children, so when a wise suggestion is ignored, I thought, pearls before swine, but the acronym PBS is already taken.

Maybe it's an inside joke?

Abbreviated aliasing would be a great feature to bring to shells

Being able to mark in an alias definition a point of minimal abbreviation, an old feature of VAX/VMS shell (DCL) would be really nice in modern *nix shells. Set the current active configuration setting of magic_quotes_runtime. Warning This function has been DEPRECATED as of PHP 5.3.0 and REMOVED as of PHP 7.0.0. ERRORS
/EXCEPTIONS Since PHP 5.3 this function has been deprecated and will raise an E_DEPRECATED warning upon execution. Since PHP 5.4 this function will also raise an E_CORE_ERROR on trying to enable magic quotes. PARAMETERS
