I stupidly changed the shell of the root user to one that does not exist, and now when I try to lgon it says it cannot find the path to my shell and will not let me proceed any further. Is there any way I can get round this without re-installing the OS?

Hi, I need to run a command remotely, rsh is disabled so I'm trying to do this:
ssh myserver ls -lst /work/jsf
The problem is that this prompts for a password and I want to do it in a shell script. How can I pass the password without user interaction? I tried "echo mypass | ssh_command" and... (1 Reply)

I am envountring a problem while I login using ssh on a sun box to a remote box.
I use ssh user@server and it takes long time to ask for a password..
does anyone knows the reason behind this? or is there a way that this could be solved

Hi, We currently have a problem on a centos server when i try to ssh to it there is a significant delay in getting a login prompt. What would be the steps in troubleshooting this issue? Hi im trying to write a script to logon to list of servers with same userID. I have no option/plan to implement ssh-keygen sharing between the systems, so i have written script creating 2 files,

DESCRIPTION
virt-manager is a desktop tool for managing virtual machines. It provides the ability to control the lifecycle of existing machines

OPTIONS
The following options are accepted when running "virt-manager":
-h, -help
Display command line help summary
-c URI, --connect=URI
Specify the hypervisor connection URI
--debug
List debugging output to the console (normally this is only logged in ~/.virt-manager/virt-manager.log). This function implies
--no-fork.
--no-fork
Don't fork "virt-manager" off into the backround: run it blocking the current terminal. Useful for seeing possible errors dumped to
stdout/stderr.
--no-dbus
Disable the DBus API used for remote control of the "virt-manager" UI
--no-conn-autostart
Don't autostart any libvirt connections when launching "virt-manager".
--show-domain-creator
Display the wizard for creating new virtual machines
--show-domain-editor=UUID
Display the dialog for editing properties of the virtual machine with unique ID matching "UUID"
