Guide me in the right direction to develop application for UNIX/Linux
Hi all,
Am good in C & C++, i just joined as a fresher in a French IT company.
In my own interest and love towards Linux and open source. i want to develop as much as applications for linux. i got the basic training on linux commands, and currently am working really hard to gain more knowledge and understanding over the Linux.
What are all the programming and scripting language i need to learn in order to develop good applications.
How to start with... Help me....

I searched the net but didn't found any application that wrap ssh connection with GUI interface so that non techie
people can connect to unix/linux accounts and work with files , so it will looks like there familiar Microsoft windows directory structure .

libpanel-applet-2 - panel applet API
DESCRIPTION
The libpanel-applet-2 library provides an API for developing small applications that may be embedded into the GNOME panel. These are
called applets, and are based on GNOME's component system, Bonobo.
To access the API documentation, you must install the developer version of the package.
