Ahhh, so it's very limited then :/ The LOM docs from oracle actually list that set syntax even!!! <sigh>

Hi,
i am working in C in Fedora Eclipse 3.3.0 with gdb debugger. I am geting segmentation fault with an error message "mi_cmd_var_create: unable to create variable object" on debugging the program.
What should I do to solve this problem?

echo $p
It is not returning the value "-e" stored. Instead returns null.
I am wondering how could this happen. Please help me out.I tried all possibilities like p='-e' | p="\-e". Nothing seems to work.

Hi
I have a "set" command which ends with a "." (dot), for example:
set `grep "\<${pnum}\>" /tstmp/data.txt |sed 's/#//'` .
Can somebody help me to understand the purpose of this "set" and "." combination?
The problem is that this command does not produce the same result when run on AIX... (2 Replies)

I have line in input file as below:

My expected output for line in the file must be :

I have a bunch of random character lines like ABCEDFG. I want to find all lines with "A" and then change any "E" to "X" in the same line. ALL lines with "A" will have an "X" somewhere in it. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation, install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
