Thanks very much for the reply. All excellent suggestions. Unfortunately, the drivers are nowhere to be found on my system. However, in a stroke of amazing luck, I just got a very nice reply to the email I sent from a gentleman at techsource who said they removed the drivers from their web site due to lack of interest. He put them back up temporarily just for me, so now I've finally got the official files I need to do this install.
I have some other stuff to do today but I'll report back with the reaults once I get going on it.

I have an ultra sparc 2 with no video - I connect to it with hyperterm.
Is there a way to get to the OK prompt? I have tried control/break and that does not work.
If not is there a video card I can get to put in this box?
I have Solaris 10 installed on this machine.

Hi all.
I am seeing in one of our less-used servers that it crashed and now won't restart. I get the message 'continue with normal startup or boot into maintenance mode'.
I go into maintenance and run fsck on /usr0 (mentioned in error at restart) it then reboots but goes right back to... (3 Replies)

NAME
create_sysfile - create a kernel system file
SYNOPSIS
[outfile]
DESCRIPTION
The command creates a kernel configuration description file (system file) which can be used as input to the commands kconfig(1M) or mk_ker-
nel(1M). The system file that is generated is of type version 1 (see system(4)) and is built according to the drivers required by the cur-
rent system hardware. This command is intended for use during the install process when the system does not have a system file.
The command uses the ioscan(1M) command to scan the system hardware and adds all drivers it can identify to run the existing hardware. If
outfile is specified, the resulting system file is sent to outfile. If outfile is not specified, the output is placed in the file
RETURN VALUE
Upon completion, returns with one of the following exit values:
0 Successful.
1 One or more errors were reported.
DIAGNOSTICS
Errors are sent to stderr. Most of the diagnostic messages from are self-explanatory. Errors cause to halt immediately.
WARNINGS
is obsolete and will be removed in a future version of HP-UX.
