Hi,
I have removed the job (its not needed) and the cronfile saves without any errors but saves as "/tmp/crontabhNaiKL" 43 lines, 2957 characters" and not the name of the file 'runjobs'
How do I fix this?

When trying to edit the cron I get the following message 577 ? I try and enter a new line in but when I quit it keeps on saying no changes have been saved? any ideas. Thinking its to do with premissions of some sort?

I can edit crontab with command
$crontab -e
BUT I don't know to edit crontab at Solaris
because I tried with command $crontab -e
I can't do that

I remember there is a sed switch i can use to edit and save the file at the same time, but i cannot recall it at all.
so instead of
-> sed 's/A/B/' file > file-tmp
-> mv file-tmp file
